RIP Randy Pausch : October 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008

Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon university professor who inspired millions through his Last Lecture over the Internet, died from terminal cancer on Friday , July 25.

His Last Lecture is reprised here.

We join his family and friends in praying for his soul and in celebrating the life of a man who to his dying day taught us all valuable lessons in life.

Rest in peace, Randy Pausch.

Wow, I didn't know anyone was paying attention

More of you have visited and commented on my Multiply page in the last couple of days than you have in the last year or so!

And all because I ported my blog from Blogger to Multiply.

In any case, if you want to get it hot and fresh ... visit My-Tube instead. I check and update it regularly and can comment back more easily from there as well. (Multiply is really slow for me!)

The Last Lecture of Randy Pausch

Randy Pausch is suffering from pancreatic cancer and has little time left in his life to teach all the lessons that are still inside of him.

This video is his last lecture : the lessons he learned in his still too short life, imparted to all of us via the magic of Youtube. Watch, listen and learn.

This is a far cry from the last time I ever spoke to my students. Where I has a sense of dejection and doom about me for having made that fatal decision to stop teaching and begin a career in another field, Pausch is upbeat and in fine fettle for delivering the best class he's ever taught.

This man is a hero for me... and possibly, will be for you as well.
